As the work at Nankhufi II and Chimwabvi primary schools comes to a close we are delighted with two beautiful new learning environments for the pupils in this rural part of Malawi.
Through Noble foods the schools have gone through a dramatic transformation, giving children opportunities like they would have never imagined. 30 years ago the parents of these children would have attended their grass thatched schools, Chimwabvi primary was not even in existence. Never in their wildest dreams would they have imagined their children to have beautiful completed schools with fully functional and stocked libraries, books to take home and food in their bellies ready for learning.
The communities are in disbelief, three young ladies from the opening of Nankhufi II library previously had no interest in school or literacy and in honour of their new library, composed three poems to share at the library opening day. We had the huge priveldge of hosting Noble as they came out to open the library.
We and our communities have a lot to say thank you to Noble and Steve for, their efforts, vision, passion and energies poured into Malawi. The effects will carry on in Malawi for many years to come.....
